遺跡にいる豹を題材にした本型小物入れです。
アンティーク調のブックボックスに、錫製のシートを加工して背表紙にしています。
中世では豹はライオンと同様高貴な動物であり、誇りと自尊心のシンボルだったそうです。
また、アンコール遺跡のガジュマルの木の力強い生命力に魅力を感じました。ガジュマルは幸福の木とも呼ばれ根、葉、樹皮に薬効があるそうです。遺跡で豹に出会った事を想像して作りました。

This is a book-type accessory case with the theme of a leopard in the ruins.
A tin sheet is processed into the back cover of an antique-style book box.
In the Middle Ages, the leopard, like the lion, was a noble animal, a symbol of pride and self-esteem.
I was also fascinated by the powerful vitality of the banyan tree in the Angkor ruins. The banyan tree is also known as the tree of happiness, and its roots, leaves, and bark have medicinal properties. I made it by imagining meeting a leopard at the ruins.
